Favourite restaurant?
I love authentic Indian food, so I absolutely love Dishoom, which has been inspired by traditional Bombay cuisine. The restaurant has several London locations, including Kensington and Covent Garden. I recommend you try Dishoom for breakfast, lunch and dinner – yep, Indian food for breakfast is a must try!
Favourite roof top bar?
I don’t have a favourite roof top bar, but I have two amazing sky lounges to suggest to you! First is Ting Lounge at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard. You can enjoy the most beautiful panoramic view of London, while indulging in afternoon tea. For a late afternoon/early evening tipple, head to the Rumpus Room at Mondrian Hotel. The plush jewel-tone lounge has a glorious view of London, and delicious cocktails!
Best boutique shopping experience?
I know it’s cliché, but I have to say going to Harrods is a must-do while you’re in London. It is pure luxury and you can easily spend hours there. I love walking through their amazing food section and picking up a salad to go, or a pastry from their patisserie – you also can’t miss their incredible cake section. Liberty London is also one of my go-to stores in London. The heritage listed icon, is a must-visit for their array of unique products from around the world. Their beautiful fashion and dreamy beauty sections are my favourite places to wander around. I also love having a beauty treatment at Liberty, their laser facial by Skin Laundry is fantastic! Shopping in London can be tiring work, so I love heading to Liberty’s Arthur’s Restaurant for lunch, a cake, or an afternoon drink.
Favourite season?
I love winter fashion - you can experiment so much more with different fabrics, textures and styles. However, I hate the cold, so I’d have to choose summer as my favourite. I love summer’s laid back vibe and how you don’t have to make too much of an effort to look chic – throw together a silk top, slides, wide-brim hat and statement earrings, and you’re good to go.
Any hidden gems?
Afternoon teas aside – if you’re into wine and cheese, head to Gordon’s Wine Bar in Embankment. The candlelit bar is located underground, so it’s super cosy, perfect for a winter’s night! Grab an overflowing cheese board and a good bottle of wine and enjoy!
Where to stay?
I love Haymarket Hotel. It is a little on the pricey side, but if you’re looking for a fancy night’s stay in central London, you can’t go wrong. The service, food, décor, facilities, location – everything is to die for! Their sister hotels, Soho Hotel and Ham Yard Hotel, are also fantastic to head to for a drink or a bit to eat. I haven’t stayed in these two – but I can imagine they would be just as fabulous.
