Fable Meets: Lindsay Rogers
When you read bios of successful CEOs and business owners, essentially most of them have the same driving force – “I had a dream, a strong vision of what I wanted, and I didn’t stop at nothing until it happened”. This same sentiment sums up our next ‘Fable Meets’ lady.
At the age of 25, Lindsay Rogers left a dream career to build the company she couldn’t have dreamed of. As advertising agencies were staking out their claim on digital content, and digital agencies were going beyond just a website, Lindsay launched Chello (short for a ‘cheeky hello’), a creative agency that works in the vast space between advertising and entertainment.
Since co-founding Chello with Tristan Velasco in 2014, Lindsay has won Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year for NSW, 2015, and has been accepted to the Executive Bootcamp in Design Thinking at Stanford University. She recently won Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media and Marketing for the Asia Pacific 2017. She has previously won B&T 30 Under 30 Specialist 2016 and Mumbrella’s Under 30s Achiever 2016. Phew!
Lindsay is an amazing supporter of The Fable and an inspiration to us all. You can follow her business Chello @acheekyhello.
Here’s a little insight into her everyday life…

Spring. I love the sense of renewal and seeing fresh, happy faces as the sun appears after winter.

Best holiday
A trip to India in 2013 with eight friends. It was a pivotal time in a lot of our lives between 'jobs' and 'careers'. We all found a window of a few weeks and booked together. We did this amazing, soulful journey through India, it really took me out of my comfort zone and I loved it. Varanasi was a favourite city. Regardless of your beliefs, it's a really unique, spiritual place.
Secret skill
I am an exceedingly fast texter. I've caught people watching me with a look in between amusement and horror.
Invention you admire
Grammarly, an app which corrects your wayward grammar. All of our team have it installed. I am a big grammar person, but this shouldn't be unusual! It's just called 'being correct'.
A forceful shower. How good is a hot, strong shower? Many of the world's problems are solved in the humble shower.
Coffee or tea
Coffee for sure (but I will drink tea just so I can have an accompanying biscuit).
Favourite silk shirt by The Fable
I flick between different ones, I think I own most of them now. I am loving the black starry one with my leather biker jacket at the moment.
