Presenting our Fable Meets series. This is our chance to introduce you to the Fable team and the women who inspire us. The heart of The Fable is to tell stories and we want to be able to introduce you to some incredible women who we know are doing incredible things around the world.

First up, The Fable's Director: Sophie Doyle.

After working in Melbourne for four years, Sophie packed up her life and headed to India in search of some adventure. A series of chance encounters lead her to a textile factory in Jaipur and the idea of The Fable was born. With her vision to create the best silk shirt on the market, Sophie launched her first collection in October 2015.

Favourite Season
I’m a sucker for Summer – especially in Sydney. Can’t beat the beaches and mangos!

Latest book
All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr. A lovely story set in France.

Best holiday
That’s a hard one! I recently spent three weeks in Mexico and absolutely loved it. The food, culture, people and beaches are something else over there.
 
Invention you admire
I have a device called a Tile on my keyring. If I ever loose my keys (which does happen) I can make them ring from my phone and track them. Genius invention for those of us prone to misplacing things!

Flower or plant of choice
I love indoor plants and we have many at The Fable HQ. Tropical orchids and succulents would have to be my favourite.

Coffee or tea
Always coffee – extra hot skim latte.

Favourite colour shirt
Current favourite is The Sailors. I wear it with white denim or a leather mini and pair and sandals.

Issey Miyake has been a long time favourite.  Super fresh and for day and night wearing.
